Why Traditional Blockers Don't Work

Daily limits cause a toxic cycle of morning burnout and afternoon failure. Temri takes a radically realistic approach.

Typical Screen Time Apps

Rigid, daily-allowance architecture

  • You get 1 hour/day for Instagram or TikTok.
  • You burn through the entire hour during breakfast.
  • By 11 AM, the app locks, you feel guilty, and you override the password.
  • Once overridden, you doomscroll for the rest of the day.

Temri: Hourly App Budgets

Rolling hourly moderation

  • You get 8 minutes per hour for designated Time Killers.
  • If you indulge in the morning, only that single hour is capped.
  • Every new hour gives you a clean slate and fresh focus.
  • No guilt spirals, no overrides, and no endless scrolling.

Designed for Ironclad Focus

Built natively for Android with zero fluff, zero cloud subscriptions, and absolute privacy.

Hourly App Budgets

Everything You Need to Know

Why hourly limits instead of daily limits?

Daily limits punish you for slips and encourage defeatism. If you burn your 1-hour allowance by 10 AM, you feel like the day is ruined and end up scrolling for 4 more hours. Hourly limits reset every 60 minutes, ensuring you always have a fresh start to focus.

Does Temri read my personal chats, photos, or browsing data?

No. Temri utilizes Android's standard Usage Access permission strictly to detect which app package is in the foreground. It never inspects content, keystrokes, messages, or URLs, and your data never leaves your device.

Is Temri free to use?

Yes. The closed beta is completely free for all testers with zero advertisements.

Which Android versions are supported?

Temri is built for modern Android devices running Android 13 (API 33) and above, taking advantage of the latest notification and battery optimization APIs.
