This Privacy Policy applies to the Temri - Own Your Time mobile application ("the App"), developed to assist users in managing screen time, eliminating digital distractions, and reclaiming focus.

1. Core Philosophy: 100% On-Device Processing

We believe your personal digital habits and app usage history belong solely to you. The App is architected so that your personal app usage logs, focus session records, and daily habits are stored and processed strictly locally on your device in an offline SQLite database. We do not transmit, sell, or sync your personal app usage records to any remote server.

2. Data We Process on Your Device

• App Usage Statistics: The App accesses Android's PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS to calculate your active session compliance, detect when designated "Time Killer" apps are launched, and monitor rolling hourly limits. This data never leaves your physical device.
• User Display Name: An optional display name provided during onboarding is stored locally to personalize in-app dashboard greetings.
• Focus Configuration: Your chosen app categories, focus schedules, session durations, and hourly app budget allowances are saved strictly within local storage.

3. Automated Telemetry & Diagnostics

To ensure application reliability and understand high-level feature engagement, the App integrates standard Google Firebase SDKs:

• Google Analytics for Firebase: Collects anonymous, aggregated interaction metrics (such as session start counts, screen navigation views, and feature activations). These metrics contain no personally identifiable information and are not linked to your user identity.
• Firebase Crashlytics: In the event of an application crash or unexpected error, diagnostic crash tombstones (including stack traces, device model, operating system version, and system state) are transmitted off-device to help developers diagnose and resolve stability bugs.

4. Android Permissions Utilized

• Package Usage Stats (android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Required to detect foreground distracting apps and enforce your self-imposed focus timers and limits.
• Display Over Other Apps (android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Required to render the focus intervention overlay when a restricted app is opened during an active session or hourly limit breach.
• Foreground Service (android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE): Required to maintain accurate countdown timers and continuous background tracking without interruption by system battery optimization.
• Notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required to deliver persistent session countdown timers and alerts when limits are approaching.
• Exact Alarms (android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Required to trigger your scheduled focus sessions at precise times.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your usage statistics and session histories are stored locally, you maintain total control over your data. You can completely and permanently delete all stored data at any time by clearing the App's storage via Android Settings → Apps → Temri → Storage → Clear Storage, or by uninstalling the application.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
